With a program like this, a lot of questions can come up. So here are some of the answers you might be looking for.

What kind of physical and emotional requirements do I need to fulfill?

This program is a mostly nomadic experience. So you will need to be able to carry your backpack and walk or ski some distance through any kind of terrain. We will not be travelling on any roads or paths. Depending on the location, we might expect deep snow, so you might be provided with broad cross-country skis. No prior skiing knowledge is needed, but helpful, because it could add to the physical challenge you face.

Is it possilbe to abort the training during the immersion?

Even though we of course don’t encourage it, there is the possibility for you to quit the program, but depending on where we are and the availability of our outside contact person, it could take up to 3 days before you can be picked up and brought back to civilization. There is however no refund if you end the training early.

What happens in case of a medical emergency?

The guiding team is trained in wilderness first aid, and we also have specific emergency procedures in place. If there is a critical emergency, we provide an emergency beacon that sends an alarm directly to the national emergency rescue station with our current coordinates.

Can I also take part if I’m Vegan or Vegetarian?

A big part of our diet in this program will be animal-based and ketogenic. There are several reasons for that, and because we carry everything with us, we can’t accommodate this type of dietary request. The meat, fish and fat that we will consume will be from wild animals (wild boar, deer, reindeer, different types of local fish, etc.)

Can I also take part if I have alergies, diabetes or other health issues?

There is no clear yes or no to this question. If you have any health issues, please let us know in your application. We will then assess the seriousness of the issue, possibly also with your doctor, and make a decision based on that assessment.
